A friend won a prize in a short story competition in “The Barrel Organ” the magazine of Salisbury & South Wilts CAMRA and asked me to go with them to collect it. It was to be collected from the Rai D’Or – a real ale and Thai food pub. It was fairly easy – we waited in the pub for the man we didn’t know (editor) and when he arrived the prize was handed over and photos were taken.
Think the editor was a little surprised that my friend does not drink alcohol, so no real ale!
So? Am glad and pleased they won a prize – they did well.
